In the spirit of the Olympics, Desert Color hosted its third annual Summer Kickoff event, The Summer of Games. This event drew over 4,300 guests and featured nine different sports and competitions, creating a day filled with memorable activities, crafts and food.
The Summer of Games was a perfect opportunity for neighbors to come together for a unique celebration. Residents enjoyed free massages, hair braiding, bracelet making, henna tattoos and encounters with exotic birds. Thrilling water slides and performances from around the world added to the excitement. The event was made possible by the HOA and community partners, who collectively pledged over $65,000.
Guests could savor cuisines from various countries, keeping them energized and hydrated throughout the day. The closing ceremonies were a highlight, with winning athletes ushered in by a social media influencer and resident of Desert Color, followed by a spectacular Hydroflight Show. The evening ended on a high note with a surprise proposal on the jumbotron, marking a special moment for one happy couple.
